what a great helper

Aiden is not potty trained yet, its a work in progress. I'm sure if I took the time to focus on it and put the effort in he would be, he does use the toilet, just not every time. So I taught him to tell the difference between #3 and #4 so he could get me a diaper for either him or Brody, whichever I need. I came home one day and asked Chad where Aiden was and he said he sent him upstairs for a diaper. After he didn't come back for a while I went looking for him. He was still looking for a diaper. I never taught him that if a package has size 3 then the whole package is going to be size 3! He was diligently looking through the package for a size 4 :)

6 Months

Brody has had a very busy and productive 6 months. He started crawling, grew a tooth and started pulling himself up on furniture! If only I could be so accomplished!

I put it on all by myself

I had to post this mostly because this is not the first time he has put his jacket on this way. I don't think he even notices because he will go out and play like this as if nothing is wrong. I love it.

Dance moves

The kids love to listen this song "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz I want to get them dancing and braking out there sweet dance moves, but Tyler was on to me and refused to even be seen let along dance. he said,"no way, your going to put it on your blog!" Rats! maybe one day I will catch him...he is interested in hip hop and practices the few moves he has tried learning off You Tube often, especially to this song. It is a bit long so no need to watch the whole thing, but you get the picture.

surprise at Taco Bell

One night I got to busy doing PTO stuff and before I knew dinner time was upon us. I had not planned on anything so off we went to Taco Bell for a cheep dinner. The kids were so excited to find upon or arrival that they were have a customer appreciation day and they had a lady there doing face painting for free, compliments of Taco bell.

Applesauce

I got a bunch of apples and had big plans to make apple sauce and jar it. here is a shot of the beginning.
and a few of the ones I finished.....but then I realised it is no fun to can by your self!! so the rest of the apples sit on the counter and the kids are slowly but surely eating away at them.

Halloween

I have few friends who amaze me each year with he thought and effort they put forth for Halloween. I'm talking family themed costumes that obviously took lots of thought and planning. You know more than the week before Halloween, like us :0 So when my friend Tammi started talking about doing a mother goose theme I jumped right in and offered up myself and my kids to the cause. Thanks Tami for letting in on your amazing vision. My kids proudly told anyone who asked they "We teamed up with the Auayfuays"

Tammi , Mother goose's book

She took pictures of the kids and actually made them into a story book. She doctored the picture in the front to say Nichole Kitchen as Mother goose and named our husbands as narrators.

Courtney and Aiden were Goldie Locks and Baby Bear

Aiden and Taylor were little Miss Muffet and the Spider

Tyler and Autumn were Jack and Jill

Casey and Savanna were Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf

Since we were all a matching group we were invited to go to Tammi's Brothers House with them for a Halloween get together. Steve and his family really get into Halloween so we had an amazing time. Here is Steve and his wife dressed as ghosts.

And a few shots of the decorations at their house.

Thanks Tami for letting us be a part of your amazing idea, we loved it and the kids thought this was the best Halloween ever! They even commented as we came home and passed the one decorated house on our block that we don't decorate because how could we even compete with the house on the corner. Ha Ha now they think all this decorating is a competition, it made me giggle.

Honor Roll!!!

Casey made a goal last year to make Honor Roll. This year he achieved that goal! We are so proud of him and he is so proud of himself.

His teacher is Mrs Maloney, she was also his 3rd grade teacher (and Tyler's Kinder teacher) and we just love her. she is so amazing with he kids and at teacher conferences we were so impressed with how she encourages and builds him up.

Good Job Casey! He says next stop Principals list,

Bobcat

Tyler is enjoying scouts and got his bobcat last month.

They paint on the boys face to make symbols of scouting and the things they are learning. I cant remember what they all mean.

A new taste

I never would have given my first baby some watermelon Popsicle......luck number 5 :)

The new thing

So silly bands out....cuffs in. When one of Casey's friends started making and selling beaded cuffs Casey decided he want to get in on that action so he spent his own money and bought the supplies. They are called Kandy cuffs and we had to go find patterns of cool ones, but mostly the boys just make different color combinations.

I think they made about 15 dollars so far.
Here is Casey making an electric guitar from a pattern.
Tyler is wearing a Lightning McQueen cuff that he made from a pattern.

Rainy Day

When it rains in Arizona....you just have take some time to enjoy it.

Playing Pirates

With pirate parities going on with our friends the kids were a pirate mood and were playing "black pearl pirates" they were dragging each other around on blankets. Brody was enjoying the ride :)

on the move

At five months Brody was sitting like this. Kind of propping himself up
And he was starting to propel himself forward. not crawling...not army crawling yet, though it progressed to army crawling in the next month. If you kind of fast you can see him move along the couch.
