Three generations

Before we say good bye :(

One day this summer we got to have our friends over before they moved far far away :( the kids had such fun blowing up pool toys and playing in the back yard. Casey and Tyler have been going to school with Ali and Claire for the past 5 and 3 years, sometimes in the same class and some times not, but we have been friends with their family and we were so sad to hear the news that they would be moving East. Their mom Joleen is a great friend of mine and I have missed her since they left. We got to be great friends in the past couple of years and I wish we had gotten to be friends sooner than that. She is an amazing woman and I admire her greatly. She is such a great example to me of love and unconditional friendship. If I can follow her example she taught me to stand up and say whats right when it needs to be said. Even though she is moved I hope to still keep in tough with her. Its hard for me to put into words how great of person she is and the impact she had on my life so i'll leave it at that...as inadequate as that is. This picture was taken back in June, but I am finally getting around to posting it in Aug. They have been gone for about 2 weeks. We love you guys!

Oh man I'm a horrible mom, I know babies are not supposed to sleep on their belly now a days but I did let him sleep on his belly and got this cute shot of him sleeping on his hand. love it!

Happy Birthday Aiden...a little early

Another birthday...another party. My same friend wanted to have a mickey club House birthday party for her daughter Taylor and Aiden. Aiden and Tay Tay are best buds and it was so perfect! She got them each costumes of mickey and Minnie.
Convinced friends and siblings to dress as the other characters and party helpers...

Converted her whole front room into a club house complete with a door......

A snack table (very popular with all the little ones) it had mickey pretzels and Micky crackers and tons of candy.

And many stations though out the club house room. Coloring, play dough, games, balls, toys etc.
She even made a train for the kids to have a parade down the street!! So cute!

Tootles made a few appearances to help us through the party. Here is the birthday kids bringing up the caboose on their train parade. they had such a great time playing with their friends and celebrating their birthdays Tays birthday is the beginning of June and Aidens is the end of July. Thanks again Tammi, great party!

Fishing

When Chad was off work for Memorial day he took the boys fishing at his brother in laws parent house. They have a stocked catch and release lake. Perfect for the kids to fish since they can easily catch lots. It think they caught 23 on this trip. They haven't gone in a while so they had a blast and wish they could go more.

Brody is growing

He is getting way to big way to fast. When I took him for his 6 almost 7 week check.....yes I know I missed his 1 month so we were a little late and then it was really closer to a two month check so they counted it as such, anyway.... They said he was int he 80th percentile for his height! What! a child over 10 % this cant. i don't think I have ever had a child over the 40's. Really? 80? the whole way home I told the kids that Brody would probably be taller than them all and then had to explain that even though they would be older that didn't mean they would be bigger.
