This year Disney is having a special promotion called "Give A Day Get A Day". They are looking for 1 million people to do service and in return you get a day at the park for free. After last year and all the trips we took Chad had his fill of Disneyland, but when they are offering a free day how can you turn them down. When we went to the web page that list the opportunities available I found one listed with "Project Linus", we each had to make a blanket to donate. This was perfect for us because the age requirement included the boys (you had to be 6 to participate in any project) and we could do it at our leisure as long as it was with in the 6o day time frame. With the pregnancy and Chad's schedule it was great that we were able to do it from home. The boys loved doing this project. They tried cutting the fringes in the fleece, but found that challenging, so I cut all the fringes and they did all the tying. They were very proud to have been able to help the kids in the hospital by giving them comfort in a blanket. I think this was a great idea of Disney. I have heard great stories from others about their experiences in the service they participated in. I got an email from Disney the other day for our vouchers! We plan to go before Aiden turns 3 so that he will still be free :)
