Cute pic of Court

When Court came home from the park after playing with a friend and told me the mom was taking pictures and took some of her i looked at her and thought, "nice, she looks like a rag-a-muffin"  but then when said mom sent me this pic I was surprised she looked so cute (even though her hair still needs a brushing)

Sleeping on the tramponine

The kids love to sleep on the trampoline but it is kind of tricky oz when it cools down it gets cold real fast here in the desert and i prefer Chad to sleep outside with them so when we finally came up with a night Chad could manage it with his schedule and felt like braving the cold we gave permission.
I slept inside with Brody nice and warm.  I get these few shots...here is challenge....can you find a single body part in the tangle and mess of blankets??  I couldn't.

New years 2012

Well here we are half way through April and Its about I start blogging 2012!!
We went to Sam's for New years.  Mom and Dad got there a few days before and Mandi ended up with some car trouble and coming with us, Grandma Borgia came for two days and Deveren ended up surprising us and showing up as well so we did all get a couple of days together and we had a great time even though it was too short! We all headed to Wood Ranch Grill for a date night and the adults also managed to head over to Tom's Farm on Saturday. The rest of Saturday was spent getting ready for our New Years festivities! We did the usual Christmas Eve foods since some of us didn't have a chance to do all of them for Christmas Eve although we felt bad for those that had it twice!

Mandi and I contributed Oreo and Nutter Butter Balls to the evening yummies.
Deia and Sam made Sphinchis and attempted fritters, but those kind of flopped.

The Kids found ways to entertain themselves and had tons of fun as they always do.
We really had a fun New Year's Eve Party.  The most fun was when we played games while waiting for the New Year to come.  First the older kids came down and did some improv games.  And then we had a hilarious game of "Things!"  I won't go into detail here, but we will just remember a lot of answers about cats and on particular part of the game where we laughed so hard we cried! It was so great to be with family and get to wish a happy birthday to Grandma Borgia and Jordan.  Thanks to Sam and Melinda for hosting all of us!

Christmas Sunday

Only the two oldest need new or got new church clothes for Christmas.  They look sharp in their new duds.
As always the kids tried to convince us that it is unfair for the little kids to come downstairs first, but we stuck to our rule of youngest to oldest.  They came down to a tree that was not there when they went to bed and it was so fun to watch their faces as thy came in and their jaws dropped.  Aiden was the best since he had eyes only for his stocking and after he had settled down and everyone was starting to open Santa present he finally looks over and says "Oh my gosh!!".  (thank you Lovelands for the use of the tree)

In our house Santa leaves the stockings scattered around the room with a present from him sitting next to the child's stocking.  Sometimes he leaves thing to big to go inside so those also sit next to the stocking.
Brody went for the giant smarties candy first.
Aiden insisted on an RC car so he could drive with his brothers and daddy
Court just had to have this "Happy Napper" it is a pillow that unzips and becomes a stuffed animal...she wanted the penguin

Tyler want a superman hat and apparently snap backs are the in thing again because it had to be a snap back!  Chad tried to convince him those were dorky, but he held strong to his keen fashion sense.
Casey wanted a few games for his game boy, which luckily also work on the DS since that is what he got later in the morn.
Had to get a shot of the kids in the jammies grandma and grandpa Farley sent
I have tried to down load the video of the older kids getting their big gifts but it will not work so I will just have to tell about it.  Court got Twinkle toes, she has been asking for them for years so we took her to the mall so that she could pick them out herself and get the right size.  Casey got a DS and about five games to go with it.  This is also something he has wanted for the last couple of years and he loves it.  Tyler got to open a small teck deck bike and he acted all excited, but was a little confused as to why the others got a big gift last and he got a small toy.....till chad walked out of the pantry with a BMX bike and offered to trade him for the mini one he just opened.  It was all so great!  We were able to save some by getting Casey's from some gamer guy off Craig's list, so it was pristine  practically new condition and T's we also got from Craig's list and replaced parts and a new paint job it was like new but half the price of a brand new one.

Christmas eve

 Jammies as always.
We got to have an open house this year and was fun to get to visit with friends.  It was hard to spread the word since it kind of snuck up on me, but we still had a good enough turn out that the kids had fun.  Hopefully we can do it again next year too.
We recently had a lot of dental work done on a few of the kids so we kept telling them that Christmas was going t o be small this year.  And it should have been while we payed off the credit card that covered the dental work. but we unwisely (though we probably do it the same all over again) put aside the credit card and payed for Christmas instead.  So...when the kids went to bed they thought the 2 boxes of presents (below) were all they were getting
and this was our tree since we decided to forgo a tree to save the money.
