Tuckered Out

This one is for Deveren and Kiara. They were always commenting on how funny it was that my kids could fall asleep anywhere. All week in California Aiden and Court mostly would just fall asleep anywhere. I was out somewhere and Chad was home with the kids and got these pictures. I guess he just crawled up on Chad and watching TV with daddy and then....

Where O Where Did My Little Boy Go?

Sometimes while I take a shower Aiden plays in my closet or lies in the corner of it on a stack of pillows. This morning when I got out I could hear him in there, but he was not in the corner as usual....do you see him?
There his is. he had climbed up on the shelf to lay down. I'm not entirely sure of how he got up there, but got down just fine.

Courts Chirstmas performances

Courts class sang Melicalikimaka ( I have no idea how to spell this and spell check has no idea what i'm trying to spell, sorry) for their song in the Kindergarten Christmas concert. She had great time and it was fun to see he sing.
Court and her teacher Mrs. Norris
For their Dec. activity her Daisey troop and some older troops went and sang at a retirement home.
notice how short she is. After singing the girls hand out cards they made for the residents. She was pretty shy, but she participated.

Christmas tree

This is getting posted a little late, but here it is....
We have hung the stockings
And finally got our tree. Chad wanted to wait because he says the tree is always dead by Christmas, but I didn't want to wait. Life was busy so we were a week behind my schedule but we got it! I can't wait for Casey to get older so he can be so embarrassed of the pic below. He will learn the consequences of messing around in a picture...it is forever captured!
We had fun pulling out all the ornaments.
Aiden had fun hanging them on his finger.

After getting a load of ornaments from my friend for my birthday and starting off my new theme I went after Christmas shopping last year to add upon it. I love our tree, I need to get a few more ornaments this year, but It is looking just as I was hoping.
Finally on our 10th Christmas together we have a star for the top of our tree. I loved this one and thought it went well with the look I was going for.
I debated this buy. Even on Clearance it was a little more than I was looking to spend, but I broke down in the end and got him. I'm so glad I did. I think he adds so much.
And this year for my birthday (from the same friend) I got this supper cute advent calendar.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas !!

Hanging out with the girls

Chad took the older boys to the RC track with him. He usually takes them and leaves me with Adien and Courtney......I think it's time he starts taking Aiden too. Court has fun making herself a sister to play with!

Yes he could technically take all the kids, but it is really not a little kid friendly place. Casey and Tyler are old enough to endure the time by helping out and or entertaining themselves. (it's not that I think girls shouldn't go she would just whine the whole time).

Our $20.00 night

Every year Surprise has a surprise party. This year someone told me that the night before is called Glow and they have Hot Air Balloons lining the street and when it is dark they all blow their torches and light up. They also have a tree lighting and sky divers. I thought this sounded like a tone of fun and the kids would like it, so off we went. we stopped at Sonic for dinner off the dollar menu and got to the park minutes before the balloons started filling up.

Aiden especially liked the spider man balloon.

We got a great place to watch the sky divers land, so we sat for about an hour and a half. It was super cold!

We were freezing, but we were very close to one of the balloons so the kids would get close so that when he blew his torch they could get some warmth.

We got some cotton candy and kids enjoyed that.

Aiden got it all over his hands.

It was hard to get a picture of the divers, they were coming in pretty fast. They were supposed to land in the lights on the grass, but they pretty much overshot it. The last one almost landed in the crowd.

When it was all over we zipped Aiden into Chad's jacket (wish we had thought of it sooner) and walked back to the car. The kids were so impressed with he balloons and the sky divers, they had a great time. As soon as were back in the car with the heater blasting they thought it was a great evening.

We stopped at the store on the way home for some marshmallows and doughnuts and came for hot chocolate.

Our trip to California

The kids an I went to my parents in California for Thanksgiving this year. Chad was unable to come with us since he had to work the days before and after Thanksgiving. My mom came to Arizona the week before for my cousins wedding, so she drove home with us so that I would not have to drive by myself. If it were not for this we would not have been able to go since 12 hours is to far for me to drive myself with he kids. The kids missed more school this way, but we didn't have many options. My brother Sam lives about three miles from my parents so we spent lots of time over their too. Courtney had fun dressing up with her cousin Eden.

The boys had a great time playing upstairs with all their boy cousins and their uncle Eli. They spent a lot of time in this room watching TV and playing board games.

Aiden got a lesson from Uncle Eli on how to do Eli's chores. Here he is dusting, I need to put his new skills to work at home.

Here is where I realised I was happy we did not the turn the pony wall in out house into a banister. Aiden was always climbing up the side of the banister. Lucky for me he never tried to climb the second level. My brother Deveren got a kick out my kids, at least in the beginning, I'm sure by the end of the week he was tired of them asking to constantly play with his IPod.
