Playgroup

Since Chad and I committed to do  a total makeover this year and the 2nd step is pay off all debt (not including house) I decided make a little money and start a "Mommy time Playgroup" for $10.00 for 3 hours so that moms can go out for 3 hours or stay in and get stuff done without having the kids running around or messing up their cleaning. We have lots of fun and usual do a craft have snack play and more.....On this specific time we were making cookies.  We have done other fun things like make peanut butter, play with bubbles, go on a nature walk, build robots and be pirates for a day.

Brody and D playing cars

Brody and his friend Dylan played cars on the track while the older kids were jumping on the trampoline.  They had so much fun rolling the cars down into the ditch and then sliding down themselves

Star gazing and wrestling

On a nice cool night we decided to lay out on the trampoline as a family and look at the stars and cuddle.  It soon turned into wrestling and I was able to snap a few pictures.

family pictures from 2011

My amazing friend Erica at "Yellow Pear Photography" took our pictures back in Novemebr and I think I forgot to post them...so here they are.....

Chads 35th

Chad turned 35 this year.  We didn't do much since we were starting a "Total Money Makeover" and thus didn't have monies to anything to big.  We did have his favorite, German chocolate cake, and spent time as a family.

one escaped!!!!

Its a terrible picture but I was in a hurry to get it......One day I was walking from the kitchen into the family room and I looked down and saw one of our crabs was scurrying across the floor!  I quickly grabbed a plastic bowl and put it over her then grabbed the camera and let her go again so I could snap a quick picture.  After I calmed down and thought a bit I realised I could pick her up with the fish net and get her back in the tank.
We have to keep an eye on her.  I have caught her up on the filter tube a few times since much like on "Finding Nemo" the filter is how she escaped.

How manny times can a boy bomb his head?

think in the month of January Aiden suffered about 4 head injuries...every time it would heal and the scab came off he would scrape it again...I even got a picture of a few of them
One time he was walking around with a blanket on his head and ran into the door and it was so bad it scraped him through the blanket and he ended up with a scab.

Another time he was bouncing on my bed and bounced on the giant exercise ball and it flung him off and he face planted into the office chair yet another scrape to the forehead.  This time it was Sunday and he didn't want me to wipe off the blood so he could show his primary teacher.
One of the worst ones was when he was riding his bike and collided with his brother and his face flew forward and he hit the bridge of his nose on his handle bars and also scraped his head, but the nose was the big concern....He came home from the park gushing blood and I was really worried he may have broken it.  I have never seen a nose bleed so steadily!  it was fine....and it was also fine about a week later when he hit it again in the exact same spot and caused it to bleed again.

After the first couple of months of the year he has now passed this time of head injury and has been free of scabs or band aids for a while.
