D23 Convention

In Aug my parent invited me to join them at the D23 convention.  This is a huge Disney convention and since I had exclaimed my interest in in the fun things they saw at the last convention they called when this one came around.  I had hoped to be able to leave Brody at home with daddy so that I could have me time, but unfortunately he is holding on the t nursing (I'm not trying to hard to wean him though) he had to come with me.  I drove out to California on my own and met mom and dad at the hotel.  When we got there it was to get in a crazy busy long line that was a huge mess.  When we finally got into the convention it was a little overwhelming to figure out where to go and what to see.  We started by walking around some booths.  I saw this cool lighting McQueen made out of Legos and had to get a shot for my kids!  after snapping a few more pics...like 5...my camera broke and that was the end of capturing all the coolness that is Disney  :(  so sad, but between pushing a stroller through the crowds and all t mayhem it was fine not having to worry about  getting pictures too.

The first day we quickly figured out the the crowds were huge and if we wanted to get into a certain Q and A or presentation we needed to be in line a couple hours before hand.  It was kind of frustrating because we pretty much had to go from one presentation to get in line for the next one.  Unfortunately the really popular one like Dick Van Dyke were so sought after that one would have had to be in line like 4 hours early so sadly we and many many others missed out on seeing this icon.  We did get to see some really cool things though.  We saw the upcoming movies planned for the next 3 years by Pixar, Disney studios and Disney animation.  Some really fun and exciting stuff.  We got to see the art of "Brave", the new Pixar coming out next year.  so beautiful. The detail they go into is amazing!  This one was especially cool since my brother works at pixar and he worked on this movie.  I had so much fun with my parents and Brody did so well considering we were constantly sitting in a line or in a presentation.  It was so busy and so much fun. we didn't even get to see everything wanted and not even 1/4 of what was offered.
