Thanksgiving Day

My brother Deveren insisted on turkey day football. It think he was a bit disappointed when it turned out to be a game of the guys and the kids and not an all guy "real" game. So Thanksgiving day started out with the traditional football game.
They played in Sam's back yard.

My boys had a great time and were so excited to play football with their uncles and cousins.

It looks like my boys were on a team with uncles Jason and Deveren, Cousins Kyren and Jacob

The turkey took a lot longer to cook than planed on so we ate a bit (about 2 hours) later than planed on. Here is Nate stirring...i don't know what since he made mashed potatoes and his pot was a lot bigger than that. Notice the trays of rolls waiting to go into the oven. Mandi made 150 rolls, thanks Mandi :)
Here is a shot before everyone sat down. we had three tables put together and we still had to put the older kids around the island. We had 37 people for Thanksgiving dinner.

Here is Grandpa carving the turkeys, yes we had two, and left a little for leftovers, but some thought not enough leftovers.

Here are the big kids at their "Table" they loved being on their own. They had their own dishes of everything so they were quite independent.

It was so fun to be with my family for thanksgiving. We missed having daddy with us, but it helped that he was able to be with his family back in Arizona. We talked to him a few times a day so that helped too. This was the first time we were all together since Deveren's wedding about 3 or 4 years ago. The family has grown so much since then.
